Well, then. I just watched a presentation at TED.com from the Swiss writer, essayist and pop philosopher Alain de Botton. In this TED-talk, he argues that instead of dismissing religion completely as foolish we should instead learn from religion. As written on TED:
“What aspects of religion should atheists (respectfully) adopt? Alain de Botton suggests a “religion for atheists” — call it Atheism 2.0 — that incorporates religious forms and traditions to satisfy our human need for connection, ritual and transcendence.”
Interesting points and I agree with him on what we could learn from religion in arts and corporations but education is always a bit more complicated than to say the same sentences every day like in a prayer.
